FAQ

1. What type of paint do you use for face painting?
   JID uses only FDA compliant products which include paint, glitter and gems. The paints are water activated which make it easy to remove with soap and water.

2. How do you remove face paint?
   There are a couple of things you can use. From makeup remover, baby/face wipes, soap and water, baby oil and coconut oil, especially for the darker, more stubborn colors. Drier skin will absorb more of the water and with it the pigment from the paint which may lead to some temporary staining of the skin. The steps I use most often are as follows:
   - wet hands but not paint
   - add liquid soap to wet hands
   - rub soap into design till there is one grayish/brown color only
   - wipe gently with damp cloth
   - repeat as necessary

3. Are you Insured?
   Absolutely! We carry a policy through Beauty & Bodywork Insurance. A copy can be provided upon request.

4. What payment methods do you accept?
   For your convenience, we accept cards, check, and cash. We utilize Square and PayPal when accepting cards or direct payments.

5. What if I need the artist past the end time scheduled?
   We will strive to fulfill your request based on the schedule of the artist. If the artist is available and agrees to stay, added time is charged by the half hour or by the full hour. Half meaning anywhere from 1-30 minutes and full hour meaning 31-60 minutes.

6. Do I need to provide anything?
   Providing a table and chair is always helpful, but a covered work area is a must. One can be provided for an additional cost.

7. Do you charge for travel expenses?
   We travel up to 30 miles to any event at no additional cost. Anything past this is $1/mile.

8. If I cancel, can I get my money back?
   All monies paid will be returned minus the booking fee. The 50% booking fee is non-refundable; however, JID will work with you to accommodate an alternate date if available, where your booking fee can be applied.

9. Do you offer any discounts?
   Definitely! We like to recognize our community service providers with a SUPER HEROES discount of 10%. Please let us know if you are military, law enforcement, fire and rescue, teachers, etc.
